Technical Information
The Wile 27 device displays the moisture content of hay or fermented feed, i.e., the water content as a percentage of the weight. The moisture content is calculated by subtracting the moisture percentage from 100% dry matter; for example, 30% moisture corresponds to 70% dry matter
Hay and straw will rot if their moisture content is too high, and can also heat up to dangerous levels in the process. Use the Wile 27 to ensure your hay bales are dry enough for safe storage
